Job Overview 1. Strategic leadership of manufacturing operations, ensuring excellence in engineering, quality, metrology, project and supply chain management. 2. Driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and innovation initiatives. 3. Developing and mentoring high-performing cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, metrology, project and supply chain. 4. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards (ISO, CSA, CE, etc.).  5. Overseeing capital projects, new product introductions, and operational expansions. Primary Responsibilities / Duties 1. Engineering & Manufacturing Operations  * Lead and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.  * Oversee product engineering, process improvement, and new product introduction (NPI).  * Drive digital, automation and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity.  2. Quality & Metrology   * Establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or other relevant standards.  * Ensure precision in metrology and calibration processes for instruments and testing equipment.  * Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.  3. Project Management  * Oversee key projects, ensuring timely execution within budget and scope.  * Coordinate R&D, production, and supply chain teams to meet project milestones.  * Implement best practices in project management.  4. Supply Chain & Procurement  * Develop and execute supply chain strategies to ensure agility and resilience.  * Support on supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation.  5. Leadership & Compliance  * Build and mentor high-performing teams across engineering, quality, metrology, project and supply chain, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.  * Develop talent pipelines through training programs, career pathing, and succession planning to ensure long-term organizational growth.  * Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development, encouraging cross-functional knowledge sharing and leadership at all levels.  * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CSA, CE, RoHS, EX, etc.) and industry best practices.  * Drive operational excellence through KPIs, performance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives.        Experience / Qualifications  * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronic engineering, or related field. * 10+ years of progressive experience in electronics/instrument manufacturing, with 5+ years in leadership (Operations, Engineering, PMO). * Strong expertise in quality system (ISO, Six Sigma), metrology, and supply chain management. * Proven track record in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction. * Demonstrated success in team leadership, talent development, and organizational growth. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Experience with digital/automation transformation.   Fortive Corporation Overview Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
