The Swift Group is looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade web applications leveraging cloud platforms and open-source technologies. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, ensure alignment with business objectives, and define technology roadmaps that deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in architecture leadership roles
  • Proven expertise in enterprise-scale web applications architecture and strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
  • Experience with UI Frameworks like Angular, Node.js, TypeORM and Containers & Orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines: Git, Jenkins, Terraform and extensive experience in unit and functional testing using automated tools
  • Strong understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, SSO, encryption)
  • Experience in designing, coding, and debugging web applications
  • Skilled in designing and developing application layouts, user interfaces, and interactive web databases
  • Experience working across matrixed teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and API management platforms
  • Knowledge of data architecture, analytics, and AI/ML pipelines in cloud environments
  • AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certifications

Responsibilities
  • Define and govern the overall enterprise architecture for web-based applications by adoption of cloud-native and open-source solutions
  • Establish standards, patterns, and best practices for solution architecture
  • Lead the design of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems and ensure that the cloud architecture supports scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
  • Evaluate and recommend open-source frameworks, libraries, and platforms and partner with Customer SMEs, Swift Group engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions align with requirements
  • Mentor and guide the engineering and development teams in adopting industry standard cloud-native architectures and open-source tools
