Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our international Environment & Social team. The role would be based in Bogota, Colombia.
Our Environment & Social team works in an integrated manner with engineering teams on infrastructure projects. The focus is primarily in the energy sector, but we also work on other types of internationally financed infrastructure projects. The successful applicant will engage with multidisciplinary project design teams, leading environmental assessments to develop and deliver sustainable projects.

The work of our team and this position primarily covers:

  • Undertaking environmental advisory services such as due diligence and monitoring on infrastructure projects
  • Performing environmental supervision, compliance monitoring and auditing services against international standards such as IFC and Equator Principles for projects in construction and operation
  • Development and review of environmental management plans and action plans
  • Environmental and biodiversity risks and impacts assessment across a range of power technologies including wind, solar and hydropower.
  • Supporting the delivery of environmental assessments, planning applications and other environmental documents as required
  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
  • Coordination of technical input from multidisciplinary environmental specialists
  • Supporting junior staff members in their work
  • Managing proposals and projects

Our clients include project developers, international lenders including multilateral development and private banks, and governments. The team works mainly on international projects and international travel is an integral part of this role. Our core project areas include South America, Europe and Africa.
