EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in environmental consulting
  • Impact Assessment Expertise
  • Experience and competence in the Field as well as the office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSW & Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Experience in the linear infrastructure, renewables, power and/or agribusiness sectors will be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Environmental Consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Approvals, Closure & Management team based in Newcastle.
The team provides a wide range of project management, environmental impact assessment, REF’s, post-consent environmental management services such as Environmental Audits & Management Plans and works alongside other specialist teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.
Articulate, motivated and reliable, you will have a 4 years’ experience in consulting, government or industry. You will enjoy undertaking project work , fieldwork , environmental impact assessments & audits throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national EAC&M Group (circa 70 staff across 10 offices) and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members
  • Assisting Project Management/ running your own projects on interesting environmental projects across multiple industries
  • Conducting Audits & REF’s and delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports
  • Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors
  • Fieldwork on exciting projects, and client secondment opportunities.
  • Advising and delivering Management Plans
