Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our environmental engineering department, you will lead projects focused on sustainable design, environmental impact assessments, and remediation strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects meet the highest environmental standards while complying with UAE regulations. Develop and implement environmental engineering solutions for complex projects Conduct and oversee environmental impact assessments for various developments Design and manage remediation systems for contaminated sites Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project designs Ensure compliance with UAE environmental regulations and international best practices Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and project documentation Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to communicate project details and address concerns Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal writing and client presentations Stay updated on emerging environmental technologies and sustainable design practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field; Master's degree preferred Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent UAE qualification Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting and engineering, with a focus on remediation system design and environmental impact assessments Demonstrated knowledge of UAE environmental regulations and international environmental standards Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex environmental projects Proficiency in environmental modeling software and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with sustainable design principles and their application in engineering projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus Valid UAE driver's license or ability to obtain one 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hiring Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasks Willingness to travel within the UAE and occasionally internationally as required for projects Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
