Are you a well-organised and positive individual with good leadership skills? Do you have a flexible and confident approach to work? Do you like working outdoors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Environmental Monitoring Technician within our Wastewater Compliance Sampling team.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To be a great fit for this exciting role, we’re looking for someone who is well-organised and has strong attention to detail, a positive can-do attitude and a great work ethic.
You will have the ability to make decisions quickly to effectively prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure. To be successful you will have a positive and flexible approach to supporting and motivating colleagues, while also being a great team player.
You must also enjoy the challenge of working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ideally, you will possess A levels in English, maths and science (or equivalent) as a minimum,
You will also have good IT literacy, be competent using Microsoft Office or have significant experience working in a similar field. A full clean valid driving licence is essential.

The Wastewater Compliance Sampling team is responsible for all of our regulatory and trade effluent sampling and also provides a fully professional service to internal departments and external customers.
Your tasks will include managing a small team of Environmental Monitoring Technicians, training and developing new starters and team members, helping to arrange rescheduled work and liaising with our regulator.
There will also be an opportunity to carry out auditing and other quality assurance work to ensure that our UKAS Accreditation is maintained and we meet our Environment Agency standards.
You will also be required to take wastewater compliance and trade effluent samples with a dedicated sampling round and cover for staff leave. The role will involve driving to all parts of our region and a company vehicle will be provided.
