STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATION (SOQ) INSTRUCTIONS
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required for the hiring manager’s review. Applications submitted without an SOQ may be disqualified.
The SOQ is a narrative of the education, training, skills, and experience that best qualifies a candidate for the position. The SOQ also serves as documentation of the candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ must be no more than 2 pages in length and must address the following questions in the same order as listed below.
Your SOQ should address the following:
1. Describe your experience and qualifications that make you a good fit for this position.
2. Describe your experience interpreting and implementing the California Environmental Quality Act.
3. Describe your ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary staff involving internal and external stakeholders.
4. Describe your ability to work with minimum direction and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
