The Environmental Protection team is committed to delivering a proficient service and values high technical competency. The compliment of staff comprises professional officers that conduct duties based on environmental regulation and safeguarding the public; ground contamination; air quality/air pollution; acoustics/noise; appraisal of impacts concerning planning development; and complaint responses.
We are looking for a person who is conversant in undertaking all relevant regulatory duties as directed, and is capable of operating both autonomously and collaboratively with partners and stakeholders.
Post holders will be required to undertake a specialist role supporting a Principal Environmental Protection Officer, for example in either: air quality; acoustics, noise and vibration; ground contamination; industrial regulation (IPPC) or town planning.
