SUMMARY:

Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Epidemiologist to support a team conducting systematic reviews concerning influenza epidemiology, burden, treatment, and prevention in the Epidemiology and Prevention Branch that is part of the Influenza Division of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). The position will be working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is the nation’s premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Senior Epidemiologist will report to Goldbelt Professional Services leadership to ensure the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client.
Responsibilities:

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • A firm grasp of research methodologies, study designs, and statistical principles.
  • Proficiency in statistical methods used for combining and analyzing data.
  • Strong aptitude for processing, working with, and evaluating data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to decipher and organize exceptionally large databases.
  • Ability to critically evaluate individual studies, identify potential biases, and synthesize findings.
  • Must be capable of working independently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Health Services.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in design and execution of systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
  • Highly detailed and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Research experience in infectious diseases or vaccines.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
