The Position
This role plays an important part in supporting the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, instrumentation, and equipment — from early R&D and prototypes to full-scale manufacturing. You’ll work closely with our manufacturing teams to help troubleshoot equipment and system challenges, while also contributing to the development of new processes and technologies that enhance product quality and drive cost efficiencies.
You’ll have the opportunity to recommend and refine processes for the production of diagnostics products, develop operating specifications, and help improve manufacturing techniques. Collaboration is key in this role, as you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure new product designs and processes are smoothly transferred into production and aligned with future automation strategies.
We’re looking for someone with specialized, comprehensive knowledge in automated control systems, who thrives on variety and complexity. This role frequently involves research, problem-solving, and developing creative solutions. You’ll provide expertise in your area, help guide department leadership on strategic decisions, and support the professional growth of colleagues through advice and mentorship.
As a senior-level position, assignments are typically broad and complex, offering the freedom to work independently while also contributing as a valued team resource. The role may involve hands-on support of production processes after equipment installation, ensuring new systems are performing to expectations.
A commitment to maintaining and improving our quality system is essential, and daily actions should reflect our focus on achieving quality objectives.
