Reporting to our Regional Equipment Manager, our Sr. Equipment Technician, must possess great customer service, respected leadership qualities, a high level of professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude even during the busiest of times. We are looking for candidates who are proficient at multitasking and work well in a high energy atmosphere. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage local Equipment Technicians, providing direct support to gyms as needed and overseeing their responsibilities regarding all tasks outlined within their job duties. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment, including massage chairs and hydro beds, according to the FMX schedule. Perform repairs on all types of fitness equipment. Manages and close service tickets in the OpenWrench system. Completes required manufacturer certifications when available (may require out of state travel). Maintain inventory and spare parts to ensure quick resolution and repairs. Conduct required equipment checklists and inspections upon all visits to clubs. Oversee local equipment service vendors to ensure quality service delivery. Train, hire, manage, and develop local Equipment Technicians to enhance team performance. Partners with Regional Vice President of Operations to ensure club staff are trained on entering tickets properly and all equipment in the region is up to organization standards. Manages and maintains the company vehicle, ensuring a clean and organized inventory. Supports technicians with parts inventory and ordering, implementing creative solutions to minimize downtime. Qualifications: 2 years of experience in fitness equipment management. 2 years of experience in team management. 2 years of vendor management experience. Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a multitasking environment. Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook. Technical skills including general experience in the repair and maintenance of fitness equipment and physical facilities. Basic knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical equipment. Reliable transportation required for travel to multiple job sites. Requirements: Must successfully pass background check. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must maintain local, State or Federal personal vehicle insurance minimums, whichever is greater. Must maintain a clean motor vehicle record throughout employment. Must have reliable transportation to and from multiple job locations. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting; move about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public. Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs. Ability to access and operate Company computer system including prepare documents, enter data into computer system, read reports from a computer database or email system.
