• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare and submit bid documents, budgets, and cost analyses for new projects.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to support estimates.
• Evaluate and manage risks related to cost and schedule.
• Track and maintain historical data and pricing for future reference.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as necessary.
• Work with the project management team to transition estimates into executable budgets.
• Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
