Senior Estimator, Commercial – Fort Worth, TX What you’ll be doing as a Senior Estimator, Commercial General Role Description: · Support pre-proposal activities and reviews to ensure proposal requirements are clearly defined · Utilizes historical data in the preparation of material cost estimates to support pricing requests · Request and review inputs from functional areas, Bell off-sites, and quotes from suppliers as needed · Perform quality review of cost estimates to ensure data is current, accurate, and complete · Ensure all proposal schedules are adhered to in accordance with RFQ/RFP/RFI requirements · Assist company personnel in support of audits and negotiations with customers as required Specific to Commercial Role: · Price request types include Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) regarding commercial aircraft sales, commercial spares, commercial repair and overhaul, and foreign military sales · Work closely with all functional areas including Sales, Contracts, Training, Operations, Spares, Finance analysts, Supply Chain, Engineering, and others · Support build-up of proposal / estimate package and files · Assist others with understanding any cost and price inquiries What you need to be successful Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Math or other related field from an accredited university is required. MBA or Master's Degree in a related field is preferred Two years of pricing, estimating, cost controls, business management, industrial engineering or related experience in the aerospace/US Department of Defense manufacturing industry is preferred Basic knowledge of US Government contracting, experience in the development of price proposals under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), or familiarity with commercial aerospace pricing practices is required Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access is required Possess the necessary skills and knowledge of accounting systems and processes in order to properly apply the overhead costs, burden costs, pricing factors, and other applicable rates in the development of the price for a proposal Specific to Commercial Role: Apttus, SAP, Enovia, and SalesForce experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints is required. Desirable qualities for the candidate would include good organizational skills, ability to work concurrently on multiple projects, strong communication skills, detail-oriented and excellent analytical ability This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
