Description

Crystal Creek Homes is looking for A Senior Estimator to join our team. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, managing option pricing books, model pricing and options, reviewing construction documents, managing trade pricing, and contributing to product development and pricing strategies. Additionally, the Senior Estimator will also be responsible for mentoring estimating staff and supporting with overall efficiencies within the estimating portion of the pre-construction team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in residential construction, preferably with a production builder within Alberta.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Proficient in estimating software
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for single-family and multi-family residential homes.
  • Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with construction, sales, selections and design teams to ensure alignment of estimates with project goals.
  • Maintain and update estimating databases and unit cost information.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Support product development by providing costing feedback during design and value engineering phases.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting for upcoming communities and phases.
  • Analyze historical data to improve accuracy and identify trends in pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and company standards.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of junior/ intermediate estimators or coordinators.
