POSITION OVERVIEW

The Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of projects, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to analyze project specifications and drawings to develop precise estimates, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred)
• 5+ years GC estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with experience in Excel preferred
• Experience with federal & public works projects (preferred)
• Experience with school projects (preferred)
• Experience with ground up, TI & renovation projects
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed estimates and bids
• Prepare complete estimates of costs for materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates
• Analyze market trends and costs to ensure accurate pricing and project feasibility
• Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to clients and stakeholders
• Maintain an organized database of historical costs and estimates for future reference
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers based on cost and value
