POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for healthcare construction projects, including hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. This role involves analyzing project specifications and requirements to provide accurate cost estimates, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on healthcare projects.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, specifically in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as Certified Estimator (CE) or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for healthcare construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs for hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders, explaining estimates and methodologies used.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses throughout the construction process to ensure compliance with estimates and identify potential variances.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and evaluate scope of work for various trades.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to OSHA, OSHPD, and commercial construction.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential cost-saving opportunities during the estimating process.
