Downer is seeking a Senior Estimator to support our Water and Wastewater business in Southeast Queensland. This pivotal role ensures safe, sustainable, and high-quality delivery across our long-term infrastructure programs. As a Senior Estimator for SEQ Programs, you will take the lead in estimating across multiple water infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with Program Directors and clients. Our Long-Term Contracts Include: City of Gold Coast – 7 years remaining Logan City Council – 5 years remaining Urban Utilities – 10 years remaining (Brisbane, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley & Somerset) Unitywater – 10 years remaining (Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast & Noosa) What you’ll do Lead multidiscipline estimates and supervise other estimators to ensure outputs as required for the project Prepare detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater projects Develop and review subcontractor RFT packages Review and analyse project risk, opportunity and contingency allowances Present cost estimates to management at varying levels of design certainty Prepare first principles estimates and present cost estimates to management at varying levels of design certainty Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Liaise with Program Directors, Regional Manager and clients to ensure alignment and transparency What we offer Competitive remuneration with a significant ASX-listed company Opportunity to work on projects worth a combined $4 billion over the next 5 years Structured career paths with the opportunity to work in different areas of the Utilities business, supported by a robust Commercial Operating Model Flexible work arrangement / WFH options A suite of health and wellness benefits and initiatives, including EAP Beyond Blue Retail discounts with major retailers, Dell, Good Guys, Samsung, Specsavers & ANZ We are a Tier 1 ASX listed company with in-house capabilities that far exceed traditional contractor environments What we’re looking for Relevant tertiary qualifications 5 + years estimating experience (civil discipline preferred).
