TITLE:

Senior Estimator
Due to recent project wins, we are expanding our PMO team at KBR and have an opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our Adelaide office. While the role is based in Adelaide, we are open to considering other locations for the right candidate.
If you’re already working in estimating and enjoy the technical detail, commercial challenge, and the satisfaction of getting the numbers right—this is a chance to take your expertise to the next level. You’ll contribute to complex, high-impact infrastructure projects across Australia, and be part of a collaborative team that values your input and experience.
This position supports cost assurance and estimating services across a diverse national portfolio, including Transport, Water, Defence, and Buildings. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost transparency, driving value for money, and influencing decisions across the project lifecycle.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid experience as an Estimator in infrastructure or construction, with a clear passion for the discipline.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost drivers.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (particularly Expert Estimation) and associated tools.
  • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work confidently with both technical and commercial teams.
  • Skilled at managing multiple estimates and deadlines in a structured and efficient manner.
  • Familiarity with risk management and value-for-money principles in capital project delivery.
  • Comfortable negotiating and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance is advantageous.
