EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
• Gold Seal Certification in Estimating (in progress or willing to pursue).
• PQS or CEC is considered an asset.
• 5-8 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor in Western Canada.
• Diverse experience in working with different types of commercial projects ranging in values between $2-20 million dollars.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Sage 300, and Procore.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting Canadian Contracts including CCDC 2, CCDC 5B, and CCDC 14.
• Proficient in developing a construction execution plan, and project schedule.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and construction-specific software.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
