Responsibilities

As a Senior Estimator you will:

  • Provide and manage an overall bid estimate which can be presented at distinct governance gateways (mid-bid and settlement)
  • Assess tender documentation, requirements and report findings to team
  • Produce and deliver the estimate workbook showing bottom-up estimate, benchmark and supply chain comparisons leading to the completion of the client’s activity pricing schedule
  • Prepare and run bid workshops to capture staff, labour, plant and subcontract costs
  • Proactively work with the operational teams, supply chain and specialists to seek the optimal solution to differentiate the bid, including innovation, with respect to price positioning
  • Build effective relationships to establish two-way dialogue with customers and suppliers
  • Involvement in the adjudication process
  • Attend post tender negotiation with a view to taking the responsibilities
  • Prepare submission documents
  • Review successful and unsuccessful submissions, feedback and lessons learnt to promote continuous improvement. Provide relevant feedback to Senior Management and other stakeholders as required. Striving for continual development of the precontract team.
