Senior Estimator Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Salary Range: $200,000 – $240,000 annually Recruiting Partner: Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing (NHHRC) Position Summary Noble Hearts HR Consulting (NHHRC) is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to support large, complex infrastructure and transit programs. This role is responsible for leading the development of capital cost estimates across all phases of project delivery, from early planning and conceptual design through final design and construction. The Senior Estimator works closely with internal program teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure cost accuracy, transparency, and alignment with program objectives in a schedule-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Develop capital cost estimates across all project phases, including planning, conceptual, design, and construction Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather scope, quantity, schedule, and cost inputs Support program baselines, business plans, and cost update reports Review contractor estimates, change orders, and claims for accuracy and reasonableness Analyze scope, quantities, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS) Develop and maintain estimating policies, procedures, and standards Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level estimators and cost analysts Prepare and present cost information to leadership, clients, and stakeholders Support negotiations and provide cost expertise during project reviews Required Qualifications Extensive knowledge of design and construction disciplines, including means and methods Proven ability to develop accurate, defensible cost estimates in schedule-driven program environments Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Science/Management 15+ years of estimating experience, including 10+ years on large transit or infrastructure programs Professional certification as a cost estimator and/or engineer (preferred) Proficiency with estimating software such as Timberline, HeavyBid, HCSS, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools Experience in analyzing contractor change orders, claims, and negotiations Work Environment Hybrid work environment based in Sacramento, CA May require coordination with multiple teams, consultants, and stakeholders #SeniorEstimator #CostEstimating #CapitalProjects #InfrastructureCareers #TransitProjects #RailProjects #ProjectControls #ConstructionCareers #CaliforniaJobs #SacramentoJobs #HybridJobs
