Job Description Our Energy & Natural Resources team works across a range of different projects from transmission, distribution, storage and clean energy generation. We are working with developers and operators of clean energy and transmission assets as they look to transform their portfolios to meet the worlds decarbonisation ambition. We currently have an exciting opportunity to bring on board an experienced Senior Estimator to join this team in Sydney. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with experience estimating Transmission Lines, Distribution Lines and/or Substations. Estimating of electrical elements preferrable. The Senior Estimator will support our clients across the range of projects throughout the development and delivery phases, providing high value services; developing estimates from first principles and across the AACE classifications. Responsibilities: Working with Single Line Diagrams and technical information to produce First Principles Estimating Technical knowledge of Substation and transmission infrastructure & technology Lead the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate estimates. Prepare capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines Analyse and interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs. Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements. Analysis of construction project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities. Working collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as; cost, risk and planning teams. Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors Provide process and technical estimating support and production of feasibility studies Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior estimators and team members Qualifications Must be in Australia with full working rights. A recognised Degree Qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, MRICS / AIQS accreditation or other relevant qualification is ideal 10 years relevant estimating work experience Transmission or Clean Energy experience preferred Proficient in the use of estimating software and risk quantification software (Candy preferred) Ability to demonstrate attention to detail in the production of cost estimates, technical reports, and project documentation Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients Additional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
