Senior Events Manager
Bristol | £40,000 - £46,000 DOE | Permanent | Full-time
We’re working with an established B2B media and events business to recruit a Senior Events Manager for their Bristol team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced events professional who enjoys having genuine ownership of large-scale live events and being involved from the early planning stages right through to delivery.
The role will focus on a major European industry event, alongside a programme of smaller events throughout the year. The flagship event is a large, multi-day experience across multiple venues and spaces, attracting thousands of attendees.
You’ll take the lead on the operational side of the event, working closely with venues, suppliers, production teams and internal stakeholders to make sure everything comes together. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence the overall event experience and how the event continues to develop.
Alongside the main event, you’ll manage a number of smaller events designed to keep the audience engaged throughout the year.
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience delivering large-scale b2b conferences or live events. You’ll ideally have experience owning events from planning through to delivery rather than working solely in a supporting capacity.
You’ll be organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple suppliers, budgets and deadlines. You’ll also need to be someone who stays calm when things change and can make sensible decisions quickly when you’re on site.
Experience in an in-house, owned-events environment would be particularly useful, although relevant experience from a wider events background will also be considered.
You’ll be based in Bristol or able to commute to the office three days a week.
What’s on offer
• £40,000 - £46,000 depending on experience
• Hybrid working, with three days in the Bristol office and two from home
• Ownership of a major European live event
• A varied role covering both flagship and smaller events
• 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
• Holiday exchange scheme
• Health cover
• A small, collaborative team with plenty of autonomy
