The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Office of the CEO in the Executive Support Unit for an ongoing full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:
Demonstrated experience in senior executive and administrative roles, preferably in a government or public sector setting.

Responsibilities

This pivotal role will ensure the office of the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer operates seamlessly by providing comprehensive administrative and organisational support.
The position provides high-level executive support to the CEO and the DCEO, including diary mananagement, high quality executive and administrative support, management of services for complex office support, correspondence and record keeping, small project support tasks, and application of administrative policies, procedures and protocols.
The Senior Executive Assistant contributes to the strategy development across administrative operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the organisation, as well as providing valuable insights or recommendations to support the organisations strategic vision.
This role requires strong organisational and workload management skills, the ability to confidently prioritise and reprioritise work as required, including an ability to perform secretariat responsibilities for various governance forums. The role also needs to be familiar with DE and Victorian government policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial and human resource requirements.
This position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate high level inter-personal and stakeholder management skills, including the capacity to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO and DCEO. The Senior Executive Assistant also possesses strong written communication skills to prepare correspondence and respond to enquiries from a range of stakeholders. The role is professional and applies the utmost discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
The successful applicant will be able to think strategically to forecast the requirements of the CEO and DCEO ahead of time and act with autonomy in decision making to support the executive office. They will be agile and responsive to changing demands and be able to proactively identify areas for improvement in the functioning of the executive office and design and apply solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
