Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Senior Executive Assistant is to provide high quality, timely, one-to-one executive support to the Executive Regional Director - Te Waipounamu, this includes dealing with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.

You will have real-world experience in a Senior Executive Assistant role, your calm and flexible approach to work will help you build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be someone who can anticipate the ‘what if’ question and the trends and challenges, driving proactive and innovative solutions. It is also important that you have:

  • Previous experience in a role providing managerial support to a Chief Executive or tier two leader in a large and complex Government department.
  • Interpersonal skills to support managing relationships at all levels, including supporting senior leaders who lead at the political interface.
  • High level organisational skills with demonstrated precision and thoroughness in all aspects of the work with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Advanced computer skills; MS Office, databases and the inclination to learn
