Description

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.
The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Facilities Management, supports the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the School’s infrastructure and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems. The role focuses on coordinating preventive maintenance works, ensuring timely fault rectification, and assisting with minor improvement works to keep facilities in good working condition. The incumbent in this role works closely with the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) partner to monitor service delivery, conduct site checks, and follow up on maintenance issues. The role also includes helping with procurement processes like calling quotations and tenders. This position helps ensure that the School’s facilities are safe, efficient, and able to support its teaching and research activities without disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the IFM partner to manage the delivery of building and M&E services
  • Monitor service performance, provide feedback, and support improvements in work processes
  • Plan and supervise preventive maintenance activities to minimise disruptions to operations
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with contract requirements and is performed diligently
  • Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on outstanding issues
  • Attend meetings with the IFM partner and internal stakeholders to track progress
  • Manage minor improvement works and assist in procurement processes such as calling quotations and tenders
  • Respond promptly to M&E faults and breakdowns to ensure quick recovery
  • Analyse energy consumption data and support energy-saving initiatives

Requirements:

  • A recognised polytechnic diploma/university degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related fields
  • At least 4 years of working experience (for degree holders) or 7 years of working experience (for diploma holders) in consultancy, project management or property and facilities management in the building and construction industry
  • Working experience in green mark/sustainability initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge in ACMV and Building systems will be an added advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to build influence and communicate effectively across diverse groups
  • Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, with ability to work with ambiguity and agility
