Senior Executive - Business Development Based at Thulhiriya MAS Matrix is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS Matrix. This role would enable you to be part of the process of conducting research to identify potential flat knit product market segments, conduct consumer research to understand consumer expectations, validate raw materials and fabrics and collaborate with diverse teams. Key Responsibilities: Effectively conduct research to find potential product or market segments that has viable products from flat knit Once the potential(s) has been identified conduct consumer research to understand the expectation of end consumer Understand the best tools that can be used to gather information and customer reviews, work closely with Innovation hub and with other innovation teams to gather information or research materials Collate information from the consumer research and interviews to understand the final properties, price points, lifetime and other key elements Come up with a phased-out project plan which encompasses material development and product development Validate the raw materials, fabrics and product to understand the performance and to align it with consumer and business requirement Work and in hand with the sample room planners to allocate capacity for concepting and with the PDC tech team to ensure the overall execution of the concepts Conduct development meetings with representatives from the sample room to obtain consumption and standard minute value details, whilst following up and obtaining approval for same in order to carry out a risk analysis Work with designers to have marketing material which will assist the teams in selling the products to potential customers Upon confirming the product performance offer the concepts to potential customers through value chains created internally or to new customers through business development and marketing efforts or as a product turnaround initiative The individual should closely work with Value Chamin leaders to gather information about the new material requirements which are both seasonal and short listed by the customers as innovative Negotiate pricing terms, Oversee and ensure costing, cost re-engineering, lead times and minimum production quantities whilst preparing costing sheets and coordinating with relevant parties so as to finalize the costing keeping in mind that budgeted earnings should be met. In case of any deviations from the standards discuss with the Manager Knowledge and Skills: Degree in Business Management or Marketing 3 - 4 years' experience in apparel industry with Merchandising experience Knowledge in Product Development and Costing Good communications skills
