Senior Executive - Engineering (BASED AT VAANAVIL - KILLINOCHCHI) MAS KREEDA, is a division of MAS Holdings, exclusively producing high-performance sportswear for Nike. The division's product range includes Bodywear, Knit, Fleece, Tees, Woven, Sweaters, Engineered Knit, and Bras, showcasing its diverse expertise in sportswear manufacturing. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to manage and maintain all the functional operations of engineering and maintenance (including electrical systems/ equipment), ensuring the continuance of production and organizational activities to meet business expectations whilst supporting autonomation initiatives at the plant. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Attend development meetings and provide technical input to finalize matters pertaining to machinery, sewing techniques, settings and attachments. Ensure to take preventive maintenance measures for non-sewing machinery in order to guarantee high quality product standards. Attend to machinery issues pertaining to production in order to ensure an uninterrupted production flow. Ensure to attend to all electrical maintenance requirements, water supply and general maintenance aspects of the factory in a timely and efficient manner. Oversee the operations of the Engineering team whilst coordinating with service providers for regular maintenance of machinery, equipment, electrical and furniture fittings and ensuring the adherence to safety standards. Check production plan, assist in finalizing machine requirements together with negotiating better terms with suppliers thereby ensuring the availability of machinery prior to commencement of production operations. Seek new technology, obtain latest equipment and introduce high efficient/low cost methods. Ensure to overlook all maintenance aspects within the facility & relevant accommodation / hostels (where relevant) which include; electricity, water supply, boiler, hot water supply and related maintenance issues. Manage projects relating to MAS Operating System (MOS), layout planning, refurbishment,Plant expansion and other relevant projects. Conduct periodical internal self-assessments as per the divisional calendar plan on sustainable business. Monitoring and evaluation of resource efficiency improvement projects and increasing the use of sustainable renewable energy sources. Implementing innovative practices and projects to ensure sustainable management of chemicals and continuous monitoring, evaluating and reporting relevant chemical purchases and consumptions. Support the leadership of the organization for formulating short term and long-term ES strategy keeping in line with long term environmental strategy of MAS Holdings whilst developing relevant action plans Monitoring and reporting overall ES performance to support for decision making. Engage in frequent discussions and reviews on environmental sustainability performance and projects with the management. Ensuring that environmental impact is considered as a key evaluation criterion in all business decisions. Ensuring requirements of the Divisional Sustainable Business Assessment Tool are met, internal audits are carried out quarterly and corrective actions implemented on time. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree in Engineering or any relevant field. 3 - 4 years experience in the Engineering field. Good communication skills. Good analytical skills.
