PLANNER

Essencemediacom is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally.
We are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join us.
This role requires strong relationship development skills across internal and external business partners and a passion for innovation, while maintaining a consistent focus on demand creation. Understanding of B2B strategy, marketing, with a strong background in customer acquisition strategies is an added advantage.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the planning and buying of digital activation campaigns (programmatic display, premium display, content syndication, mobile and paid social) and their subsequent implementation. You will be charged with identifying revenue and cost saving opportunities, executing tactics and optimizing digital programs. In addition, you will also create detailed digital marketing analysis and reports with insights and action items.
You will be in charge of the executing campaigns for a famous Tech Client. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2-3 years of digital media marketing experience working for industry leading company or agency with significant media budgets.
  • Media Planning, Programmatic, Social, Search and/or e-Commerce media experience would be highly beneficial
  • Media planning experience (agency preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business goals and develop unique media opportunities that deliver on the business goal
  • Solid quantitative/analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of conceptualizing programs, selling-in internally and executing
  • Ability to interface and manage cross functional internal and client teams
  • Experience interacting with vendors/contractors, including effective project scoping, managing for results, and financial and operational accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable delivering recommendations to all management levels.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Support the local markets and manage the media vendors in planning and execution of media plans
  • Manage the day to day operations of some of the centralized media buys and work with local and regional vendors and publishers
  • Use and analyse data to inform media strategies and optimizations
  • Responsible for being partner and expert on digital to local markets, clients and colleagues
  • Play an integral role in the planning and management of the digital media budget
  • Ensuring complete and actionable analysis of digital buys and optimizations of future campaigns based on those learnings
  • Communicate media plan materials to client and local teams including media plans, creative requirements, strategy, budgets etc.
  • Maintain a schedule of digital campaigns and ensure delivery is on time and on budget
  • Aggressively pursue and implement new media ideas and applications that build the client’s business across all programs
  • Devise and execute A/B tests to drive continuous optimization, bringing learnings in to future campaign activities
  • Measure and analyse results. Regular reports on what is working, what is not and propose adjustments to strategies and tactics.
  • Understand organizational and product goals and map them to specific project deliverables.
