QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in fleet management, with a strong understanding of vehicle operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of fleet management software, telematics systems, and emerging technologies in the transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with environmental and sustainability principles and their application to fleet operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Prior experience in the bus transport industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

As a Senior Executive, Fleet Management & Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and optimization. Your primary goal is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the fleet while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards and assisting on ground operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
1. Fleet Planning and Management:
o Develop and implement strategies for fleet management, including vehicle servicing, maintain mandatory equipment onboard each vehicle, equipment required onboard vehicle to fulfil client’s contract, and vendor negotiations.
o Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to manage maintenance of fleet and equipment.
o Monitor market trends and technological advancements to ensure the fleet remains modern and cost-effective.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
o Establish maintenance schedules, procedures to minimize downtime, ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet.
o Oversee maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and servicing, to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
o Manage relationships with maintenance vendors and ensure quality of service.
3. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including licensing, insurance, and environmental standards.
o Implement risk management strategies to minimize accidents, liability, insurance costs and manage cashcard usage.
o Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fleet operations, inspections, and incidents.
4. Sustainability Initiatives:
o Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, such as fuel, AdBlue and electric consumption, and identify opportunities for improvement.
5.Technology Integration:
o Utilize data analytics to identify trends, optimize performance, and reduce costs.
o Evaluate and implement fleet management software and telematics solutions to improve tracking, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
o Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve fleet operations.
6. Ground Operations:
o Assist to oversee the daily operations of bus services, ensuring timeliness, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
o Coordinating schedules, driver assignments, and safety standards.
o Handle customer feedback and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
