This role enables the individual to ensure the most effective work-methods and systems, best Industrial Engineering practices and the most efficient Standard Minute Value is implemented and sustained at the factory in order to continuously improve productivity levels to facilitate smooth functioning of the production process. Key Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as: Standard Operating Procedures, compliance standards, health and safety and 5S in day to day activities whilst leading MAS Operating System initiatives such as Plan-Do-Check-Act, Kaizen and other special projects within the team. Assess resource requirements, provide information for the preparation of annual budgets and monitor and control departmental expenditure ensuring it is in line with the budget. Provide optimized methods for critical sewing operations to improve operational feasibility and Team Member productivity at Development Sewing. Optimize the utilization of Industrial Engineering Team members in fabric mill operation to achieve desired deliverables of relevant additional operational functions (Production Planning and Control & Fabric Touch Tester). Monitor work study methods and time study methods such as activity sampling and motion time analysis on identified operators, employing the best work study methods in order to continuously enhance productivity levels whilst ensuring the optimum utility machinery and Team Members in Knitting, Dyeing and Fabric Inspection. Facilitate smooth transfer of products from Development to Bulk Operation in Knitting, Dyeing & Fabric Inspection by providing optimized solutions for process related complexities while ensuring operational feasibility and productivity. Drive productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives in Development operation areas (Development Knitting & Development Sewing). Drive productivity improvement initiatives in Fabric mill with operational teams by applying Industrial Engineering practices (Knitting & Dyeing). Capacity and efficiency improvement in Fabric inspection through method and workplace improvement. Ensure optimal utilization of the factory solutions whilst carrying out activities to create maximize productivity. Liaise with technical training team and Group Leaders to ensure skill levels of the value stream are up to the required standards. Carry out the activities in the critical path of the factory integration and quick changeover process. Knowledge and Skills: Degree in Physical Science or in Engineering. 3 -4 years of work experience in a similar capacity. Good Knowledge of Work Study aspects and the production process. Good communication and leadership skills.
