Senior Executive - Industrial Systems Engineering (Based at Hanwella) Linea Aqua is a swimwear manufacturer, established as a joint venture between MAS Holdings and Speedo International in 2001. Linea Aqua operates across Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and in addition to swimwear, also offers activewear solutions to select customers, providing a comprehensive service across performance and lifestyle categories. Along with servicing its joint venture partner, Speedo, the company also services premier international brands such as In Private, Aerie, and Land’s End, and is the go-to manufacturer for high-performance swimwear worn by Olympic athletes. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to assist to effectively manage the IE & WS unit, ensuring the identification of the most effective work methods, setting of accurate standard times for operations, and coordinate with internal pares to facilitate the achievement of required plant efficiency level whilst continuously improving the operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee machine layout arrangement with the Mechanical team, assist in line balancing / line feeding and workplace engineering processes. Enforce the maximum utilization of the General Sewing Data (GSD) System and ensure accuracy of the system data and train Work-study teams at plants on the GSD System. Carry out style analyses, prepare & distribute information on operation sequence, methods, machine requirements and machine layouts to the relevant departments. Implement the most efficient Standard Minute Value. Design, monitor, improve and sustain productivity improvement schemes and the incentive schemes. Monitor, improve and sustain the QCO (Quick Change Over) process by coordinating with Mechanical and Technical departments, check and ensure thread consumption, calculate machinery requirements and inform relevant parties to avoid any delays. Oversee the staff training module, provide guidance and feedback and ensure the right practices/ initiatives and knowledge is instilled in the new recruits. Knowledge and Skill: Degree in Textile Technology. PDC/sample room or front-end operations work experience (lateral thinking). Production floor working experience as an Industrial Engineering. Belt training (Yellow/Blue or Green belt) Analytical skill.
