The operations team is an integral part of Student Affairs Office (SAO), offering a diverse array of services from resources planning to ensuring all students have equal opportunities for success.
This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, managing marketing initiatives, and overseeing communications efforts to enhance Student Affairs visibility and engagement with students.
This role will report to the Manager (SAO Operations & Finance).
Job Responsibilities
1) Marketing and Communications
- Develop and implement comprehensive and effective marketing plans to promote SAO programs and activities; analyse and adjust strategies for optimal effectiveness.
- Create, write, and edit content and messaging for newsletters, websites, publicity emails and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with the university’s brand guidelines.
- Compose tailored communications intended for different target groups, to promote events and drive student participation and engagement.
- Manage and oversee social media accounts, including content planning and analytics tracking.
2) Event Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver events.
- Manage events calendar and arrange logistics and manpower resource needs for the events, while ensuring resources are effectively utilized and to deconflict event dates if there are overlaps.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of events targeted at students.
- Develop and refine event concepts, themes and agendas to ensure alignment with SAO’s and NTU’s missions.
- Manage and monitor logistical timelines, including work requests prior and billing after events.
- Execute events with a strong focus on customer-centricity, from pre-events till post events.
- Design and implement structured feedback mechanisms to assess event impact, attendee engagement and overall success.
- Recommend improvements after collating and analyzing feedback and data and at the same time retain effective measures for future events.
- Conduct periodic reviews of event formats, processes and engagement strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Enforce established SOPs with stakeholders and provide observations for processes to be enhanced.
3 ) Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Corporate Communication Office, NTU Student Union) to coordinate announcements and communications.
- Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Director (Student Affairs).
Job requirements
- Diploma holder with at least 2 years of relevant working experience, or Degree Holder.
- Proven experience in marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in event management and support.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
