Description

Reporting to the Director of the Membership Department, the Executive Officer will involve in the implementation of the Law Society’s corporate communications and public relations strategies across a wide range of platforms. The successful candidate will be requ,ired to engage external stakeholders to ensure that the corporate image of the Law Society is presented consistently and effectively.

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, electronic filing and taking minutes
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, travel, and international events.
  • Prepare briefing notes and reports for meetings
  • Prepare simple budgeting
  • Support social media accounts by posting approved content, monitoring engagement, and preparing simple performance updates.
  • Perform desk research from time to time

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Law, Journalism or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or public relations
  • Proactive, results-driven, creative and highly self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects accurately and meticulously under tight deadlines
  • Team player and problem-solver
