QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, Workforce Software, and RPA tools is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

TECHNICAL SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Familiar with local employment legislation, CPF, IRAS submissions, and payroll best practices.
  • Proficient in payroll software, preferably SAP/SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge in using RPA

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Executive / Executive, Payroll plays a critical role in managing end-to-end payroll operations with precision and professionalism. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, is comfortable with technology, and can work both independently and collaboratively. The incumbent is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, timeliness and drive continuous improvements through automation and system enhancements. He/she is the key liaison between payroll stakeholders and other departments, and handles escalated payroll issues to maintain smooth payroll operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accuracies in payroll, shared benefits administration and compliance to legislative requirements, including implement prompt changes in accordance to ministries/statutory acts, collective agreement, policies
  • Oversee and execute the end-to-end payroll process independently, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs for monthly and bi-monthly cycles.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of time sheets, payment records, and payroll data to ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies promptly and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Manage CPF submissions and filings (including IR8A, IR8E, IR21) through IRAS and CPF Board portals, ensuring full compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on payroll inquiries, providing clear and professional responses.
  • Lead and support payroll-related projects and initiatives aimed at process enhancements, automation, and improved accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and IT teams to ensure payroll data integrity and smooth integration with HR systems.
  • Responsible for audit requests by Internal and External Auditors, including government agencies matters.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and audit documentation related to payroll activities.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, statutory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Support training and coaching of junior payroll staff or executives where needed (without direct reporting responsibilities).
  • Assist in ad-hoc payroll and HR-related projects as assigned.
