Job Description and Responsibilities: The core responsibilities are: Purchase Order Management (Purchase to Pay) Inventory Management Supplier Management Creation and Maintenance of SAP masters The responsibilities of the role are: Responsible for ensuring timely delivery and availability of Indirect Procurement (e.g., laboratory and factory consumables, maintenance, IT, services, framework orders) as a primary focus along with coordination and support for Direct Procurement including Packaging Materials / APIs / Excipients / Chemicals. Accurate demand supply analysis of the products and conversion of confirmed demand to purchase order with suppliers. Regular follow up with suppliers for timely delivery Accurate flow of information to all relevant members of the organization Resolution of issues within given timelines Creating and maintaining SAP masters like material master/Info record etc as per requirement MIS reports creation The Main responsibility of the role is to ensure availability of materials from external Suppliers/manufacturers at the right time with appropriate inventory management as per agreed target. 1. Overall Supplier Management Responsibility for operational task: Securing service level and optimal stock level Responsibility for operative purchasing process flow for certain suppliers Forecast updates Orders (purchase orders, re-scheduling and stock transfers) Delivery follow-up with supplier Invoicing process Logistics coordination 2. To be main point of contact for operative tasks both towards the supplier and internally within Orion: Participation in internal cross-functional meetings related to operative purchasing issues Providing timely information internally regarding product availability 3. Supporting the Manager responsible for Supplier and category management and development 4. Maintaining and updating (when necessary) SAP Masters information for purchased products Primary Skills (essential): Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical procurement, with primary responsibility for Indirect Procurement (e.g., laboratory and factory consumables, maintenance, IT, services, framework orders) and hands-on experience in Direct Procurement including Packaging Materials / APIs / Excipients / Chemicals and Finished Products, preferably for EU / US markets. Experience with SAP / S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Experience or awareness of using AI-driven tools to support procurement efficiency, reporting, or decision-making will be an added advantage. Knowledge of EU requirements and ICH guidelines is desired. Excellent English communication skills (both verbal & written) and Good Interpersonal Skills.
