We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to coordinate all production activities pertaining to the assigned production modules in order to ensure on time delivery of products as per customer specifications. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the following activities are carried out upon the receipt of new styles by coordinating with relevant teams in order to facilitate smooth production operations: Participate at the internal pre-production meeting and obtain tech pack, construction information, and machine layout for a particular style. Identify the machine requirements whilst, coordinating with the work study and technical team to finalize the layout. Check on the availability of machine facilities and inform the Engineering team of any additional machine requirements. Ensure that lines are fed and run according to the production plan by balancing operatives, checking their attendance, calculating daily targets, and coordinating with relevant sections. Coordinate with cut bank and ensure that all required cut panels of respective styles are made available according to the cut plan in order to avoid production idle time. Identify critical operations for a particular style and ensure man power requirements are fulfilled in order to achieve planned production output. Achieve set standard hours and efficiency levels, facilitate on time shipments according to the shipment plan and monitoring the hourly production output. Ensure to maintain an optimum Work in Progress levels (WIP) at all times by balancing lines through rotation of operatives, improve capacity of operatives, and balance SMV to suit the operation whilst, ensuring the reconciliation of all styles. Coordinate with the HR team/ Supervisors and plan ways in which the skill and effectiveness of operatives can be improved in order to ensure efficient work distribution and overall production efficiency and the skill development of the workforce. Ensure that the production floor is clean, 5S principles and organizational health and safety standards are adhered to whilst, fulfilling compliance requirements. Knowledge and Skills: Degree in Textile Engineering or National Diploma in Technology (NDT). Minimum 1 year Production floor experience in Assistant or Executive grade in Apparel Industry is a must. Sewing skills is an added advantage. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
