Position: Senior Executive – Sales Support Organization: Cyient DLM Limited Work Location: Bangalore Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Executive – Sales Support to assist our Sales team. This role is crucial for supporting pre-sales activities, managing customer registrations, and ensuring compliance with government and private defense sector requirements. The ideal candidate will excel at coordination, documentation management, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless support for the sales lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Pre-Sales & Bid Support • Assist in preparation, consolidation, and submission of bids for defense tenders. • Coordinate and submit responses for RFQs, EOIs, RFIs, and other customer requests. • Ensure timely and accurate availability of required information for bid submissions. • Customer Registration Management • Complete and maintain company registrations with: o Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) o Government Research Laboratories o Private Defense Companies • Ensure all registrations stay updated and compliant with customer requirements. • Documentation & Data Management • Collect, verify, and upload documents and data onto customer portals. • Maintain compliance standards and support the sales team in meeting submission deadlines. • Maintain systematic documentation to support audits and compliance checks. • Internal Coordination • Liaise with internal teams including Bid Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Program Management, and others. • Consolidate data from multiple stakeholders to support pre-sales activities. • Compliance, Tracking & Reporting • Maintain trackers for customer registrations, bid submissions, and related documentation. • Generate weekly progress and status reports for sales leadership. • Ensure adherence to organizational and customer-specific compliance guidelines. • Process Improvement • Identify process gaps and propose improvements for enhanced efficiency in registrations, documentation, and submission workflows. • Contribute to refining internal SOPs for defense tendering and sales support. Qualifications & Skills Education • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Arts, Science, Commerce, or a related field. Experience • Minimum 4+ years in sales support, sales coordination, bid management, or administrative roles. • Experience in Defense or Government tendering processes is preferred but not mandatory. Technical Skills • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Familiarity with customer portals and tender/bid submission systems. Soft Skills • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities. • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred • Exposure to defense sector processes, procurement norms, or government vendor registration systems.
