The Senior Executive of Strategic Communications and Futures Planning is responsible for driving communication strategies that align with the organisations strategic and innovation objectives, community development goals, and long-term sustainability plans. This individual will curate and facilitate conversations across all levels within the organisation to inspire and shape the future together, while actively engaging with external stakeholders to ensure resource mobilisation for ongoing and future initiatives.
As a key member of the S&T team, he/she will oversee the development and implementation of effective communication channels, ensuring that the division’s work, key achievements, and objectives are clearly articulated to internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creative communication, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of the organisations mission and vision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in indirect social work, strategic communications, community development, or a similar field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and executing communication strategies that align with long-term strategic planning goals.
- Experience working with external stakeholders and partners to secure resources for sustainability, including fundraising or grant writing experience.
- Strong track record of successful internal communications and employee engagement.
