At AKQA, our Experience Design discipline sets the standard for innovation, creativity, and craft. As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll help shape courageous digital experiences, how they work, why they matter, and the impact they deliver. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, combining empathy with logic, curiosity with rigour, and creativity with precision. In this role, you will collaborate closely with UX designers, strategists, technologists, and delivery teams, you’ll turn insight into visually compelling, human-centred experiences. This role calls for a designer who understands how to express play with sophistication, and you’ll elevate even the simplest user flows through craft, motion, and brand-led visual design. At AKQA, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team united by purpose, craft, and curiosity, working in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment. Our hybrid in-studio/WFH model supports creativity, balance, and flexibility. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Design and deliver high-quality digital experiences across web and mobile. Create concepts, screen designs, advanced prototypes, UI kits, and design systems. Design immersive, game-like interfaces with refined visual craft and motion. Proficiency in advanced prototyping and motion (Rive, Lottie, or After Effects preferred). Build and maintain scalable design systems using Figma Variables, Tokens, and Nested Components. Design for multiple contextual states (e.g. errors, low balance, small vs. large wins). Strong knowledge of iOS (HIG) and Android (Material 3), balancing native patterns with custom interaction. Ensure accessibility, usability, and consistency across mobile, web, and desktop. Collaborate, present confidently, and deliver work to a high standard. QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS Senior-level experience in digital or product design. Strong UI portfolio demonstrating texture, depth, colour, and moments of delight. Proven ability to inject brand personality into complex or utilitarian flows. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. High proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
