JOB TITLE: SENIOR EXTRUSION OPERATOR

Location: River Falls, WI
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Compensation:$25.00+/hour (Depending on Qualifications)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating extrusion or compounding equipment
• Associate Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
• Experience training and coaching others in a manufacturing setting
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Extrusion Operator to join our production team in River Falls, WI. In this critical role, you will operate and maintain extrusion and compounding equipment, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards. You will also lead process improvements, mentor junior operators, and contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and monitor extrusion and compounding lines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality
• Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and cleaning procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve processing or mechanical issues quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate documentation for production output, quality checks, and machine performance
• Conduct ERP transactions for inventory and production activities
• Load/unload materials using forklifts and powered industrial equipment
• Support preventive maintenance and report equipment concerns promptly
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, housekeeping standards, and environmental guidelines
• Train and mentor new or less-experienced team members
• Proactively recommend improvements to increase efficiency and product consistency
• Communicate daily project status and operational issues to supervisors and team members
