Description

Kepak Group is a prominent global food company, committed to delivering high-quality meat products to retailers and food service entities. Our Merthyr Tydfil site is a vibrant hub of beef and lamb processing, where we pride ourselves on offering not just prime cuts but also a genuine connection to the local farming community.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fabricator/Welder to join our engineering team within a food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure, ensuring all work complies with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and industry best practices. The role will act as a support function to our business units on site.
Working hours : Monday - Friday (Day Shift)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fabricate and weld components for food processing equipment and infrastructure.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and support systems where applicable.
  • Ensure all fabrication and welding work meets food-grade standards and is compliant with HACCP, BRCGS, and relevant food safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Complete all work in accordance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support capital projects as required.
  • Be available for shift cover, weekend work, or emergency call-outs as needed.
