Job Summary
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a world-class Senior Facilities Engineer based in Alor Gajah, Melaka and reporting to the Facility Manager. In an industry that is reshaping the world’s energy future, there’s no better place to be.
The HVAC cum Energy Engineer (Energy Manager) plays a pivotal role in optimizing energy consumption, reducing costs, and implementing sustainable practices within an organization. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership to drive energy efficiency initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Energy Manager collaborates with various departments to develop and implement energy conservation programs while promoting a culture of environmental responsibility and for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) plays a crucial role in the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and optimal indoor air quality. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to meet building requirements, energy efficiency standards, and client expectations. Responsibilities:

Collect and analyze energy monitoring data and keeping accurate records. Carry out site inspections and completing energy data surveys/audit. Participate in organization cost saving program. Assist in developing and overseeing strategies to reduce energy consumption and peak demand. Liaise with internal engineering team, consultants suppliers to understand, establish, review, validate and issue the project specifications (M&E equipment system, infrastructure structural & civil work), capital expenditures operation expenditures and the performance guarantees, liaise with customer including presentation and validation Liaise with Malaysian Authorities Suruhanjaya Tenaga, utilities company and Government Agencies for project incentives application/ coordination, regular and special inspections, infrastructure and project authorization, licensing issues and for general project implementation coordination required. Every 6 months submit a report to ST by updating in EMIS system Take responsibility for the oversight of various HVAC equipment, including chillers, pumps, chilled water, cooling towers, AHU, MAU among others. Value engineering & alternative system proposal for cost saving, comprising of initial and operational cost, to ensure the system running in optimum capacity as per specification. Supervise major overhaul or installation of air conditioning systems to assure that work is carried out according to plans and specifications. Consult on HVAC system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters. Develop and oversee all aspects of production including Clean Room design, computer modeling, selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, testing, and implementation of products and systems. Analyze HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation. Create and submit detailed bids that outline costs and timelines for construction or extraction projects in accordance with deadlines. Serve as project leader to coordinate efforts of managers, engineers, drafters, and manufacturing personnel during all project phases.
