Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for event venue sales, including corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings. Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and event planners to secure repeat business. Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and competitive positioning. Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to maximize venue utilization and revenue. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional strategies that attract new clients. Event Management & Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute high-quality events from conception to completion, ensuring client satisfaction. Manage budgets, timelines, and logistics while maintaining profitability. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams (catering, AV, security, etc.) to ensure flawless event delivery. Oversee on-site event operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide exceptional client service. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and implement improvements. Leadership & Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior event staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team. Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to align business goals. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in event management with a proven track record in venue sales and business development. Strong network within the corporate and social events industry. Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) and CRM tools. Creative, strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience leading large-scale / sizeable events and managing an event team is required.
