If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Facilities Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and we’d love to hear from you!
The Senior Facilities Manager at Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Government is responsible for leading the Department’s facilities management (FM) function. The post-holder will be responsible for setting the direction of FM activities in the Department, providing advice on FM matters to the Head of Property, taking forward compliance and resolving FM issues on a varied estate of 22 offices in England, Scotland and Wales. The post-holder will be the first points of contact on FM matters with our property delivery partner, the Government Property Agency, and support the Department’s intelligent client activities.
The post-holder will manage two staff in the Property Team which sits functionally in the Commercial Directorate. You will work closely with colleagues in the Property and other teams in the Department, focusing on stakeholder engagement, and delivery at pace.
The has embarked on an ambitious programme of estates rationalisation and modernisation. You will play a key part in supporting the programme and delivering high quality FM support.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Senior Facilities Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage, and improve upon, the FM provision of the Departments 22 sites.
  • Lead on a variety of Facility Management Issues, as and when they occur across our estate.
  • Manage two experienced SEOs in the Facilities Management Team.
  • Manage the relationship with the site leads (site representatives) from our sites, to ensure issues across our estate are fully addressed.
  • Ensure that the Departments sites are compliant and meet regulations
  • Develop new procedures and technologies to assist with the day to day running of the estate.
  • Respond to correspondence and briefings as required including staff enquires, briefings to senior managers and Freedom of Information Request.
