We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-driven Senior Facilities Technician to join our growing team at EIT-Zollner. In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day facilities and equipment maintenance at our Leesburg, VA campus—ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations across our advanced electronics manufacturing facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Facilities Technician, you’ll be our go-to expert in keeping the lights on, the air flowing, and the gears turning. You’ll lead troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upgrades across the facility and play a key role in both preventative maintenance and emergency response.

  • Lead facility maintenance and repair for building structures and systems: walls, ceilings, flooring, HVAC, and lighting, working with property management as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair of all utilities used for manufacturing, compressed air, exhaust, Nitrogen, DI Water, plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, and general infrastructure
  • Replace and maintain HVAC filters, belts, light fixtures, and electrical components
  • Experience with hazardous chemical handling, labeling, collecting, storing and discarding
  • Operate Man lifts, forklifts, skid steers, power jacks, hoisting equipment, air floats and other heavy equipment safely and effectively
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the facility’s security system, cameras, alarms, including managing access controls, Badging, visitor ITAR verification, responding to security-related issues, and coordinating with external vendors as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams during events or layout changes
  • Keep safety and operational excellence at the forefront of everything you do
  • Perform hands-on carpentry work: build and repair cubicles, office furniture, and facility structures
  • Paint, patch, and maintain interiors and exteriors using proper tools and finishing techniques
  • Support landscaping and exterior maintenance including tree trimming, lot upkeep, and company vehicle
  • Manage external vendors to include but not limited to: cleaning services, waste management, and vending services
  • Repair ceiling tiles and grid systems as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar technical role
  • Expertise in general maintenance trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
  • Work experience as an electrician is a plus
  • Ability to read technical documents, diagnose issues, and propose efficient solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time independently
  • A self-starter attitude with a proactive approach to facility care
  • Ability to lift, carry, and operate tools and machinery as required
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset—you’re a team player through and through
