For more information, please visit www.FirstLiberty.org.   Position Summary:   First Liberty Institute’s Senior Fellow of CRCD (Center for Religion, Culture & Democracy) focuses on leadership in the areas of civics and religious liberty, reporting to the Executive Director of CRCD.   Responsibilities:   o   Develop and supervise CRCD civics education initiatives * Oversee content production for civics curriculum * Develop and execute plan for high school civics education engagement * Engage with civics institutes/centers to create network for content sharing/distribution as well as faculty and student recruitment o   Lead development of DC Fellowship Program o   Liaise with legal team, coordinate CRCD programming/scholarship support of FLI cases * Support FLI legal internship program * Assist building network of law professors and law students/scholars to support First Liberty’s work * Develop strategy for expert testimony, legal briefs/reports * Coordinate CLE offerings in collaboration with JWI / FLI legal team o   Pursue scholarship and publication on civics and religious liberty o   Maintain an active public speaking and publications profile o   Consult with Executive Director on fundraising / development opportunities o   Represent First Liberty and CRCD at events o   Other duties as assigned   Requirements: o   Must agree with and sign First Liberty’s Articles of Faith o   PhD or other terminal degree o   ABD (all but dissertation) minimum o   JD strongly preferred o   Demonstrated track record of interest in related fields (religious history, civics, law) o   Academic and popular editing o   Mature understanding of First Liberty’s constituency, practical work o   Strong relationship, business and interpersonal skills o   Active publishing, academic and conference agenda o   Must possess computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications o   Ability to travel occasionally   Physical Requirements: o   Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to lift light/moderate weight
Responsibilities
