Description
Development functions require the specification and design of electrical power distribution solutions thru own ability execution or management of specialized engineering resources in the following topics: Industrial Power System and Substation Design Aftermarket Equipment Modernization (Retrofits, Custom replacements) Electrical Power System Protection and Control Transmission and Distribution System Analysis Distributed Power Generation Alternative energy (Wind, Solar, Microgrid) PLC / HMI or relay logic based power transfer and other control schemes including Main-Tie-Main transfer schemes, load shedding/ peak shaving schemes, breaker control schemes, SCADA system development, and generator control. Power monitoring systems Direct and manage project fulfillment from beginning to end - including a combination of self-managed (execution) projects as well as directing field project management. Develop and apply risk identification and management tools - that are applicable to the type and complexity of the project. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders (customers, consultants, contractors, sales, management) on an ongoing basis. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Where required, negotiate with other offices or managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company. Set and continually manage project expectations with project team members and other stakeholders. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and develop contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management." Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical engineering discipline. Solid experience managing and/or developing complex projects within the construction industry. Intermediate English level (B2+) — Advanced proficiency preferred (C1-C2), due to required communication and training with U.S. teams. - distribution boards and panels, - substations, - protection and control systems, - equipment modernization and retrofits. Ability to effectively interact at all levels of an organization and build value with high‑profile customers. Ability to develop and deliver energy and project‑management training, as required. High proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management tools (AutoCAD, MS Project and other risk‑management applications). Willingness to travel and work on holidays, weekends, night shifts and extended hours, as required. LI-RS6 Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess strong leadership competencies and willingness to collaborate and work cross functionally to maximize business results and positive customer experiences. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and strong business acumen - including ability to effectively apply risk management tools/logic to various phases of a project.
