Description
A role is within the Financial Insights & Value Management team which focuses on performing comprehensive and forward-looking analysis to manage and drive financial performance of Great Eastern Group and its subsidiaries. The team plays a crucial role in measuring and driving the economic value of the business, acting as a bridge between actuarial, finance and management functions – ensuring decisions are grounded in value creation and preservation rather than just accounting results. · Support the annual business planning exercise and regular forecasting of key financial metrics to improve the predictability of business performances in order to achieve long-term financial sustainability. · Assist in building and maintaining the BP projection model, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to support target-setting. · Perform product-level and driver-based analysis of Great Eastern’s businesses, including the bridge between NBEV and NB CSM under IFRS 17, providing value-based performance analysis and actionable insights to support-decision making. · Support the preparation of annual embedded value (“EV”) reporting, including the review of EV related assumptions for Singapore Life business and Great Eastern Group. · Assist in regular actual vs expected analysis on operating and economic factors, identify sources of emerging profit or loss and provide commentary that translates technical results into business insights. · Participate in corporate-wide initiatives and projects. · Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company. · Highlight any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices. · Holds a degree in Actuarial Science and with good progress in Actuarial exams; · Has at least 2-3 years of experience in actuarial work; · Familiar with Singapore RBC regulations, Embedded Value and IFRS 17 is an advantage; · Proficient at Actuarial work applications (Prophet, MS Excel/VBA, SQL); · Proactive in initiating and leading discussion with various stakeholders; · Strong ability to communicate technical results in a clear and business-relevant manner; · Strong analytical capability;
