About the role The Senior Finance Analyst, Group Planning & Reporting will play a pivotal role in leading AGL’s Group cashflow management, ensuring high‑quality analysis, forecasting, and insights to directly support strategic decision‑making. This position is responsible for driving end‑to‑end cashflow reporting, including oversight of cashflow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and regulatory cashflow requirements across the AGL Group. A core focus of the role is delivering robust group reporting and consolidation, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting that supports senior finance leaders and the Board. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, this role will deliver on value‑adding analysis that strengthens AGL’s financial governance and business decisions, as well as continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reporting quality. What You'll Do Cash Flow Lead the preparation and consolidation of Cash Flow and Balance Sheet reporting for external reporting, internal management reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Drive continuous improvement to more efficiently deliver Cash Flow and Balance Sheet. Lead partnering and co-ordinate with the Heads of Commercial Partnering & Integrated Planning (CPIP) in the preparation and delivery of all Cash Flow reporting activities as part of budget and reforecast cycles. Planning, Analysis and Reporting Lead and assist in the delivery of AGL Energy annual budget, four-year plan and quarterly forecasts. Identify and drive initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes and improve the reporting of financial information to management. Lead partnering, preparation and consolidation of biannual regulatory reporting for external purposes. Half-year and Full-year Reporting Assist the preparation of AGL Energy half-year and full-year reporting requirements for external stakeholders, including the OFR, Investor Pack and supplementary data and analysis. Assist in analysing AGL Energy progress towards a range of market targets and initiatives. Finance Initiatives and Ad-hoc Analysis Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting including the delivery of the Group Performance Report and Business Performance Reports. Provide appropriate specialist input to support key finance and business initiatives. Add value by acting with key stakeholders’ interest in mind, establishing and maintaining effective relationships, gaining trust and respect. Assist the broader AGL Energy FP&A team on an as required basis. What you’ll bring CPA/CA qualified + demonstrated experience in a group reporting role (ideally within or for an ASX-listed organisation) Extensive cashflow, financial modelling and business partnering experience Board paper writing experience highly desirable (though not essential) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident engaging with senior and/or executive level stakeholders Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, identify issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research techniques to develop appropriate strategies At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options including hybrid work.
